hello ,

i am looking for some guidance and input / spec. sheets on the largest ( Tallest and Widest ) BFG A/T or BFG M/T

i can mount on a 16 x 6JJ 70 Series New OEM Wagon Wheel ?

part #

- these are going on my 10/88 FJ62LG-PNEK with a 4" suspension lift ........

-
i currently have 35 x 10.50 R15 's on her , and 15 x 10" Aftermarket Alloy Wheels .......

- i would imagine there is a limits chart or other SAE or the like spec. sheets perhaps ?

- my end goal is a 33" Tire , perhaps the P series metric variety will take shape here 🤔

thanks
matt

Tall is not really the issue … it is the width… max on 5.5-6” rims imho is 10.5 … have people used bigger YES would a shop put on bigger … no … it’s a liability

It is hard to find shops that would even put 10.5 … bfg recommends I think max 9 on the 5.5-6” rims

That all said some manufacturers do make exceptions…
9.00r16 is a tad over 36” tall and 10” wide and Michelin recommends 6-6.5 also spec at 255/100r16

11.00r16 is a 38.5” tall and 11” wide tire that is approved for 6.5” wide rims

If your looking for max on the stock rim that would be approved and mounted without issue…
The 255/85r16 is a 33” tall tire and 10” wide and approved for 6.5”+

Hope that helps
