Hello, I’m Brett down in San Antonio. I’m searching for San Antonio and South Texas Toyota owners that would like to start gathering again in the San Antonio area. Perhaps, when we have a decent number that continue to participate, we could seek chapter status through Lone Star Land Cruisers.

If you live in San Antonio or South Texas, drop me a line at: BrettinSanAntonio@yahoo.com

We’re planning our first burgers and beer gathering Tuesday, January 2nd. It will be just a casual, get to know other Toyota owners kind of thing and children and spouses are encouraged to attend if they wish to do so. Venue and location is still pending.

Also, I’ve personally registered for the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree and will be driving up from San Antonio for the event either Thursday night after work or very early Friday morning. If you’re interested in joining me on the road, please give me a holler.

San Antonio gathering

I'd say we've got five to seven people coming this evening for our first gathering. Hopefully, we'll get the word out after a few months and increase our numbers. There are many Land Cruisers in the area it's just getting the word out. I'll post tonights numbers some time tomorrow.

Welcome...

Have you had much of a response from folks in San Antonio? It always surprises me that there is not a bigger following down there.

Cool. Let us know how it goes. It would be cool to see some more folks at Katemcy this year.

I am from Brownsvile.

I' ll be checking in with you

Yes, it's my first time going.

I am planning on leaving Thursday, early morning. For me It's a 10-12hr drive more less. I see that you are going too.

I want to leave early in the morning and get there durind day lights.

Never been there before and don't want to get lost at nite. I ll be passing by San Antonio around noon. Whish could come earlier to caravan. If you leave at night(after work) at what time will you be leaving?

May be I can wait for you?

I'd love to leave Thursday but it looks like the best I can do is very, very early Friday morning. I'll probably pull out of here at four or five AM.

Just make sure you time your drive Thursday so that you don't pass through Austin between 3:00pm-7:00pm. You don't want to spend two hours just sitting in traffic on I-35.

Do you know where the majority of people are camping?

Brett

There are a few here and there but your best bet is to watch the Ih8mud.com and scan ebay, auto trader and the local paper. I do have a close contact at Calvendar Toyota who might be able to help if you're interested.
