hey guys. found a nice semi restored HZJ75 but no registration included. I'm wanting to buy registration and vin tags from a 1989 or older HZJ75 or BJ75. Actually a mini diesel pickup truck (hilux) would do the trick as well.
I can pay cash or paypal.

--thanks guys

How are you going to make the mew number match the original on the frame?

Posting your plans on a semi public forum might not be prudent.

Ya think?

"Dear world, how can I launder a vehicle's identity and license it illegally?"

I was trying to show restraint and political correctness in my post. :)

cops are cracking down on trail rigs without registration more and more around here. they're not wiping mud and grease off frames to match VIN's, they just wanna see registration papers.

did you notice the HDJ80 for sale on ebay recently from Alaska? JDM, RHD model registered as a LHD american gasser. Americans didn't seem to mind, the bidding went up to $1200, reserve not met.

It's ridiculous that I can't drive an old truck down the powerlines without being fined to death and it's ridiculous that an american has to wait 25 years before he can import an efficient, simple, reliable diesel. I'm not dumb, our laws are ;)

I do feel your pain.

On the other hand, the activity you outline is a fellony (in the US anyway) and would land you in jail (if caught) no matter how pure your motive is. Do think carefully about it.

I'm sure you won't get an argument from anyone on this forum and while I certainly
can't discuss Canadian registration laws I would caution you to not spend money you aren't willing to lose. Watching an expensive vehicle crushed by Government officials wouldn't be fun not to mention the possibility of a substantial fine.

Watching an expensive vehicle crushed by Government officials .

I know one smuggled and laundered LJ70 that got crushed by the Canadian govt with a substantial bank loan payable by the defrauded MuD lifer.
