Looked throught the FAQ - old links no longer work, trying to see if the Bill Dory style mount is located down low on the block: https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/61613-power-steering-bracket-sources.html

Currently running the JT/MAF style bracket that mounts to the cylinder head (too high for my setup). Have a newer year 2F with holds for OEM PS bracket - but have removed the old smog pump mount years ago.

Need a solution that puts the Sag pump lower than what I'm currently stuck with...

Looking for pics using smog pump bracket mount - or other homemade bracket using 2F PS mount holes. Thanks.

I mounted my sag pump off the air pump bracket.

Here you go. It was simple to make out of scrap 2x angle. It's stout and very adjustable.

More photos. I'll try to dig up the dimensions that I documented for a friend.

Both are good examples of exactly what I'm looking for - the cradle part made for the sag pump looks simple enough. Where was the tension adjustment mounted?

Here's the rough dimensions. I just built it to fit the pump. The base of this allows a lot of adjustability front-to-back for belt alignment. There are two different lengths of air pump mount and I used the longer of the two, which I believe came from a 60-series truck. For tension adjustment, I used a Ford alternator adjuster, backwards, from a slightly longer-than-stock water pump bolt to a front bolt on the pump, which worked very well. I can probably find that part number if you need it. Pretty much any alternator adjuster could be made to work.

Not sure if you still have the smog bracket still, but I just did a little grinding on my current smog pump bracket. I also added this steel spacer from Ace Hardware. I have a tensioner that I grabbed from the pick and pull, but its a bit ghetto. I plan on fabbing another one later.
