Hey Y'all this is my 99 LC100 called "Storm" bought it back in Late December 2024, here is the service/upgrades done to it in the past 9 Months.

Purchased at 160,064 Miles

First Oil Change at 181,041 01/29

At 181,113 03/28
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Valve Cover Gasket
Drive Belt and Tensioner
Spark Plugs
Radiator

At 182,495 New Tires Falken Wildpeak AT4W 05/02

At 184,674 Oil Change M1 5W/30 High Mileage 08/03

Currently having issues with the front CV Axles and thinking about getting the whole area replace and possibly doing any bushing/joints in the surrounding area, maybe Control arms or anything of that sort? anything else I should be worried about or replace at such high mileage?
Previous owner didn't keep track of service records but replaced the whole ABS system before I purchase, was serviced at dealer ship all life before 2nd owner (they were close friends he purchased after his death).

Also Curious any good mods or upgrades to boost MPG I know these cars are notoriously know for being horrible at MPG but anything that slightly ups it would be incredible.

Im also looking for a lot of parts as I want to make it look nice and keep it in good condition, if there is any post with links to these items please reference them as I am very new to the platform (2nd time logging in)
-Hood and Trunk Struts
-Rear Toyota Emblems
-Fog Light Lamps and Bulbs
-LED Headlight Bulbs (High Beams and Low Beams)
-Instrument cluster lights
- interior lights and Control panel lights
-Clear Side indicators and Tail lights

Taking a Trip to Colorado from Austin in Mid Oct so want to be as prepared as possible. Thank you for any inputs very appreciated.
Pictures are from back in May took roadtrip to Big Bend from Austin.

160k miles on a '99 is far from high. My son's 2000 has 300k miles on it. That's USDOT average.

That's a very nice looking truck. Download the service manual and EWD. They're both in the Resources forum, 100 series section, for free. That is the souce for information, not internet posts or YT videos. Thaose are good for memory jogging, but if you're goign to own a Land Cruiser, you either need lots of money to give someone else to care for it, or learn to do it yourself. There's not much to do, but, especially on a 100 series, it's not intuituve or obvious and it's not cheap.

Buy OEM Toyota parts whenever you can (like your tools – buy the best quality you can afford. Always). They've lasted this long; aftermarket parts will not. Ask anyone here, they all own and drive Land Cruisers, and they'll tell you the same thing.

Any online EPC (electronic parts catalog) is a great resource for genuine Toyota parts. You can use PartSouq – use your VIN and bookmark the page (they sell parts, too) or Toyota EPC (the dealer can get these parts).

I personally like Lasfit bulbs, but it's a personal preference, not a recommendation. Ask any number of people which bulbs they recommend, and you'll get exactly that many different answers. As for interior bulbs, you just need the bulb series number and you can replace with LED from there. Finding a site that has the LEDs you need is the trick. I use SuperBrightLEDs.com, because they've already done all the hard work.

Don’t use high mileage oil. Once you do more than a couple changes with it you can’t go back. A good synthetic 5w30 is all that’s required. I personally change at 5k miles, but you could go longer. I wouldn’t recommend going 11k miles, ever, though. Hopefully that was a typo.

All good questions, and all answered dozens of times in the forum. I recommend you start reading the FAQ section, then start using the search function.

Thanks I Appreciate the info, a bad typo on my end purchased at 180,064!

What Oil would you recommend then? read on one of these forums that the Mobil 1 5W/30 High Mileage was the best you could buy for it so I trusted the post since half of the commenters agreed with each other.

Mobil 1 5w30 is fine. I’d avoid the high mileage version, that’s all. Once you’ve used it a few times, you can never go back to regular oil. I’m personally a fan of Pennzoil Ultra Premium, based on scientific testing. My highest mileage truck is approaching 340k miles.

Thanks!

I'd like to learn about Boosting MPG as well!
as far as i know, there isnt much you can do, other than extreme things like removing interior weight or removing the roof rack.

...trailer it

Drive slower.

Plain M1 5W30 and a Toyota filter every 5k
HM will cause crank seal or cam seal leaks.
Among other things.
@OP The high mileage thing isn't just our tucks, this applies to ALL ICE vehicles.
It has an additive in the oil that "rejuvinates" seals in the engine. Problem with that is that if you stop using it the seals shrink and then usually cause oil leaks you never had before.
