Hey guys!
I am looking for a cruiser shop recommendation here in Charlotte, NC. I have been going to Town & Country Toyota for any repairs I dont do myself, as well as for parts. They have a couple of very knowledgeable people in regards to 80 series however their prices are high. So, anybody know of a good idependent shop that knows 80 series cruisers in Charlotte?
Thanks,

Jonathan

Yotatech in Fortmill just across the border. Other than that, have a help a member out day at your house and we'll help you with what you need.

Give us an introduction let us know what kind of cruiser you have, mods, goals, etc.....

We are having our annual farm meeting comming up in less than a month.

The real business name Al and Brett referred to is J & M Auto Toyota Techs and they are located at 2788 Hwy 21 Business in Fort Mill, SC. Their number is 803-548-2688. Josh first recommended them to me when I got my 40.

If you are on the north side of town, you can't go wrong with Autoworks Unlimited Inc. The owner is Dale Gregory and he is super guy from all I've ever heard. He also works on Land Rovers, Volvos, etc. and took good care of me on my 40 when I was in a rush to get something done. They are located at 15316 Old Statesville Rd Huntersville, NC 28078 and their number is 704-875-2929.

Hope to see you at an event in '10.

x3 Johhny and Mark (J&M) are very knowledgeable and honest. Maybe a bit opinionated, ha ha, but very good, honest, and SUPER knowledgeable about Cruisers. go by their shop, you will know what I mean. Tell them Kyle said Hi!

I had for J&M (803) 548 5351?

Thanks guys!

Here's my intro:

1996 FZJ80 with 170k, factory lockers, no real mods other than running board removal. Goal is to have a daily driver/versatile wheeler. Have H151 manual trans out in the shed that will be swapped in at some point in the next few years. I would love to put in a crawl box of some sort as well. Would also love to put in a turbo. I have been doing most of the work on my cruiser but a few things I just do not have time for hence the request for a good shop to do the work.

I am a mechanical engineer and I like to tinker. I am slowly building up a home machine shop in my shed to support this and other projects, so if you have machining related questions I may be able to help!

When/where do you guys meet?

I get a group of charlotte guys together once a month at different places. This month kinda got pushed aside with the holidays.
We also have "official club" meetings everymonth on a rolling basis from the triad, triangle and here (maybe to include a forth area soon). Our month for the official one is next month but we are having the big annual farm meeting in Denton (not far from Uwharrie) so most likely it will be skipped. We also do a trip a month the schedule for that is posted in the sticky section.
