I wonder the same thing when I came across that ford last night

haha I wondered how long it would take for you guys to find that on there and post up :). I was trying to keep the word Land Cruiser out of it the best I could but I figured someone out there maybe willing to trade for a nice 100 series wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about. I will never get 10K for it but that is kinda the point and if I do then great that is good too.

But Yes we are following Clints lead right now with the his and hers. I just have to get rid of a project first. With the impression that the 43 is never going to get here i was going to need a project I could go out and enjoy a lot more. Not to mention with the rigs around I just don't have any room.

But yea I always go thru a lot of cars anyway. I like so many different things and love projects so much
Still need to find something that gets decent mileage though...gosh darn.

You could always go back to diesel... and buy KC's 4Runner.

Or build one of your own.

That is nice. I'm still working on the guy at work for the two that are there on post. It is to the point where he just want to say heck with it and get rid of the darn things but he is still holding onto a glimmer of hope he can use them for training which he never will be able to.

Glad to see you found an 80. So are you planning on buying his/hers 80 series? :)

No sure if you ran the engine code yet, but I bet it's the P0401...

Well on the LX450 a light came on 10 minutes after leaving. Guess what PO401

You are probably right on the rig as well. Going to do some preventative maint this weekend. Noticed the night we checked out the LC that their was RED coolant in the overflow and Green in the radiator. Also found a decent sized oil leak on the LX on the garage floor. Appears to be really far up front so I'm thinking they didn't tighten a cooler line when they replaced the radiator. It was dark but I think it could have been tranny oil.

The P0401 isn't uncommon. I would have to dig into my records, but I think to fix that, I pulled the intake manifold and replaced the VSV on the EGR. The VSV (vacuum switching valve) was like $150, and I don't remember the cost of the intake manifold gasket(s). While the intake was off, I also cleaned the carbon and oil out of it and the throttle body.

So why didnt you get this one ?

1997 Used Toyota Land Cruiser S at Ron Shue Imports in Cornelius, NC, IID 4765034

are you a Carolina fan or something :D

(will do you know anything about this one? i didnt see hello kitty mats)

Dear God!!

Didn't see it for sale.. Nice rig other than the obvious. I could live with some of these colors though.

Even when I'm 80, I'll still chuckle when I say aloud "Oregon State BEAVERS".

I just bypassed the EGR and jumpered the sensor, there's tons of posts in the 80 Section. Aside from clearing the P0401 (and not having to worry about it again), the truck runs and idles smoother.

I started reading about that but didnt' get that far in some of the threads. That is exactly what I want to do though. In all of my old diesels I always blocked that puppy off. Very first thing.

I'll have to check that out for sure.

On the other rig is thru some codes for all of the cylinders misfirering. But it runs better than the LX so who knows. Still deciding if we are going to keep the 80 as well or not. I'm taking a new line on shipping the 43 so we will see. Maybe before the new year?

I'll have to get you to show me this next time we meet....I've been plagued by the p0401 for 3 years off and on. Been too lazy to try and fix it .

If you're real nice, I'll also give you one of my Ghettolicious Temp Sensor Resistor Gadgets.

I am going to completely remove my EGR one of these upcoming weekends. I just need to make some block-off plates.
