MTRs do not come siped. You can sipe them or get them siped though.

Siping is when there are small grooves in the tread blocks (either by the manufacturer or done later) to aid in wet weather traction. I spoke with the dealer about siping the Destinations and he did not recommend it. It can cause some chunking off of rubber at the point where the siping meets the edge of the blocks.

I just got a quote this week from a local shop. I can get the Destination M/Ts in a 285/75R16 installed for $160 ea. That includes mounting, balancing, installation yadda, yadda...

It is a fair price, you may be able to do better.

Not much- got mine for $150 ea out the door, after shopping around for a month.
