The samurai build up started in late 2008 with a standart sami 413. I was still out of the team, just gave them some hits.
The driver wanted to try Ladoga trophy in Russia where there are a lot of classes and he wanted a certain TR2 class where there is a limit on the mods.
Right after that the sami got 35'' Silverstones and mods on suspension lift + body lift to hold the tires, Got 5.12 diffs and.. test... no power. Got 1.6 Vitara/tracer engine 8 valve and t-case 4:1. Placed 2 warn XP9.5 winches, changed Alternator and went in Russia's **** swamps !
Got back... almost destroyed but managed to Finish !
Then, i was called in.
Mods for 2010's Trophy.
Toyota Axles, Mechanical winch. Changed Suspension. Other Tire tread.
Everything was made to hold on to the Russian trophy in place. There are some certain issues that had to be taken in mind after the 1st try and now with the experienced gained everything was going to place.
My job, Computer design the suspension ( placing, angles, modeling ) and making T-case PTO of 413 zuk, and Mechanical winch with Speed and power at one time.
I can only upload a little photos from the Last minute test ( the only one ) and in the middle of the competition photos ( i was not with the team in Russia due to another race in Albania.
Here is what it is... prepated for the 2010's trophy...
Suspension... standart Toyota LC70 - J-Arms plus Panhards, 12'' travel in total per wheel ( just the right enough ) WB - 94'' with 33'' Simex Jungle trackers ( the same diameter as 35'' Silverstone 117 - Extreme )
PTO from the ZUK T-case
TOY Axles with 4.88 Diffs
Mechanical winch - at 2500 RPM, on 1st gear - 25 Meters per minute 98 in/min, 80Meters of syntetic rope.
Fully loaded - 60 leters petrol + 1 warn + 1 mechanical winch + all parts, food, water... 1600kg
It is not the best, but it is a start...
Next mods... F150 Engine + Auto transmission, Dual TLC70 T-case, and... Bigger tires - 37'',39''....
The mechanics are installing the engine and i want a head start on making the PTO... that is why i need the drawings... so if you could help me i will really appreciate that !
I will upload later on some pix of the first CAD models of the ZUk's suspension... only the fist due to blown computer harddrive with the project on!
