Here is an update of what's going on:

The Cabrio soft top guys say they have now have a supplier for the metal frames. It will take a couple of weeks to get some made up, then they can ship.

The group buy discount has been reduced to only 10% off of the regular price. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. Communication is not their strong point. It takes days to get a response to an email.

For only a savings of 10% I can't see how it would be worth it for anyone to go through the trouble of organizing a large purchase. Unless anyone else want's to step up(Wayne :)), I'm just going to go ahead and order myself one.

Any word on the tops from Ehsan?

I can get this made. I have consulted with the mechanic on this and it is pretty makable. But I will have to buy the vehicle first which over here itself is for around $12 to $15 depending on the condition. If There are enough potential orders (Any rough guesses/estimated anyone?) I can get some made at a good price.

the savings could be in shipping. They quoted a price that was air frieght and was expensive. I had a german importer in canada arrange pick up in germany and get it to his container and ocean frieght to canada. They are not used to shipping to canada [the cabrio top maker].

All doors on a LJ73 from 1985 to 1990 delivered in Norway got removable tops (also the front doors). It's a set of cower for the opening when removing the windows.

Where can I find a set of these covers? My 70 did not come with them and they'd be great to have.

Could not find the whole set of covers in the EPC. If you search for door window frame hole cover you may find some. One of the back rear door cover got the part # 68647-90K00

I have one set for sale. Its almost complete, missing one part.

Bikini top

Anyone else interested in a bikini top? I'm getting a couple made up. Cost will be approx. $250-$300 CAD per top. Mininum 50% deposit if you are interested.

... OR you can buy a Jeep YJ header bar and a Best Top bikini top for an '86 Jeep Scrambler, sew some velcro onto the top for about $170 total and be done with it!! works great! Anyone want pics of my 74 with can PM me.

Tried to PM but you have no room left.

The drawing was ment as a supliment if Cabrio not could produce their folding mechanism for their soft tops. It was not ment for people to make money on others construction. But if the construction not are in the portfolio at Cabrio i'ts no problem for me that you use the drawing. I don't have any copy right of the drawing and I do'nt think it's patented. So, for all I know, anyone can make their own set at a worshop.

I understand but I think I will go with a different design just as a matter of good ethics. :)
