Wanted Looking for a decent 100 series with little rust - Massachusetts

Looking to acquire a well-maintained, ideally enthusiast-owned 100-series Land Cruiser. Ideally in Massachusetts or Connecticut, don’t have a ton of free time to travel far for it. Prefer Toyota LC over Lexus. Looking for one with minimal rust on the body, some surface rust underneath is ok, no rot. looking for one in good mechanical condition with service history. Plan on keeping / driving daily it for several years in New England. Nice interior (no bad rips) would be a plus. I would prefer something around 200k miles or less, prefer dark colors (blue, gray, black) but don’t care that much.

let me know if anyone has something like this they are looking to part with soon.

thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt, I just posted my 100 Series but i'm here in AZ.....otherwise might've been a good fit.

A rust free cruiser for 5,000? It's gonna have 400K miles on it and you have to fly out west to buy it, going to be realistic with you my friend.

I didn’t say it had to be totally rust free. In fact I have seen a few in my area that meet my criteria, but I wasn’t quite ready to buy and they sold quick, so I know they are out there

How far are you willing to travel? In my area (North Alabama), the only ones I've seen pop up in good condition close to your price range are higher mileage - 275k+. If I were you, that might be the criteria I would try and be more flexible with. A car that's been well serviced and taken care of can go a long way to mitigate mileage, IMO.

Yes, that makes sense thanks. I am ok with higher mileage if it has been taken care of reasonably.

I'm in Mass and have been contemplating selling mine but I'm very undecided at the moment. Purchased for 7k and I just went through all my paperwork I have put almost 10k into into it over the past few years. Definitely not sure if I'm ready to let it go but even more unsure where to price it if I did. It was a southern truck all it's life, so literally no rust. Well taken care of by me, although can't speak for PO's. I was thinking starting somewhere around 12 but not sure.
