Looking for a BJ74

My BJ74 of 3 years got written off the other day. I am looking to replace it within a month or so. If there are any 74's available please email me at jmoore1@telus.net. I am in the Calgary area, but would consider making the trek to BC or god forbid, Saskatchewan.

Hay the guys at 4 wheel auto in edmonton have 2 in the back lot. They don't advertise but that is where I found mine and I am positive there is still a couple there. Give Dan a call at 780 468 2570. cheers 74 is the truck to have!

Was it recycled as a parts truck, scrapped, or what?

A Sunfire crossed the median and smoked me in the L quarter. It pushed the diff back about a foot, peeling the leaf spring off of the front shackle, and breaking off the drive shaft at both ends. The FRP top was damaged due to the fact that I ended up on my side and sliding for about 50 meters. I'll probably be buying it back.

That really sucks, do you think the insurance will pay for the replacement cost.
I'm curious, I never had my truck appraised and was wondering what the replacement value would be.

not appraised then the insurance company "could" use the black book value or you could try and prove what it is worth.
i give my customers an independent appraisal just for this reason, i strongly suggest to everyone to get one ASAP... saves a lot of headaches...

I'm hoping for replacement cost. The only thing is there was still some body damage from the first accident my truck was involved in (6 months ago, not my fault). I was paid out 10K for damages for that accident and they didn't write it off. I put $1000 back into it and made it my bush/winter beater truck. I did pretty good on that one. Hopefully this one will work out the same. They are going to be looking at it some time next week. I'll let you know how it works out.

sorry, i have a guy i used here in Calgary...
contact the vintage car crowd in your area, they usually have a good handle on appraisers...
