Looking for a 700R4 or maybe a 4L60

Anybody have a good tranny for sale? I am looking for one to mate to the 5.3L vortec on my 60

Dave, what about the 4L60? I was thinking of putting an automatic in the 60. I sold the h55. I had not thought of the nv4500, hmmm... I remember reading somewhere that the chevy nv4500 was better than the dodge or vice-versa???

I think the 4L60 is just an updated 700r4 but with electronics. I'd keep it simple and go with the nv4500.

Either way you go, you're going to be spending some major coin on adapters.

You are correct on the 4L60/700R4 being the same aside from electronics.

If I were to go with the with the NV4500, I would not have to mess with the harness. Advance Adater sells tranny to TC adapter for $600+. I like the fact that the tranny will bolt directly to the motor vs the H55 that needs the adapter.

I need to ask Mike where he got his NV4500 from.
