Hi there, I am looking to add another cruiser to the collection. I am looking for a 95-97 FZJ80 US spec. Looking for one preferably under 220k miles and no rust along with a clean interior. Budget is about $30k on the very high end if it is really nice and lower miles. Does not need to be triple locked mainly looking for a clean no rust example with a nice interior and preferably stock wheels. Willing to travel but hopefully not too far away from Texas. Let me know what you got!

Issues
  • Check engine light - Insufficient EGR Flow Detected
  • Minor rust on paint various areas shown in photos
  • Rubber on exterior window trim cracked, peeling on right rear door
  • Rear driver side door lock does not lock with key fob consistently
  • Passenger side fender flairs clear coat weathering
  • Fender flare gaskets hardened and cracked
  • Driver seat worm gear has inconsistent engagement
  • Fog light lenses are cracked

Thanks for the writeup seems like a solid rig. I know it's dumb but only considering the Toyota model at this time. Looking for something a little less build planning to just do lift and OEM wheels with KO3's.
 
Got it thanks a bit too much. My stretch truck right now is a 97 110k miles triple locked grey interior blue exterior perfect interior and exterior no rust at all $47k. Previous owner did 18k of maintenance in the three years of ownership. Do you think that’s a fair price?
 
Planning to be my daily driver not really doing much offloading just fire roads camping etc. Other one I am comparing to is 18k cheaper both Texas trucks no accidents etc. The cheaper one has 259k miles but all maintenance done super clean interior and good service history as well but not triple locked. Trying to decide if I want a super well sorted high mileage one or splurge for the perfect spec low mileage and also super well sorted.
 
Sounds like you don’t need lockers for what you’ll be using the truck for. And I’d take air lockers (ARB) over stock lockers any day. I wouldn’t be afraid to get a high mileage truck if maintenance are up to date. These old trucks cap last for a very long time if maintenance and upgrades have been done properly.

All is give and takes big tires are cool and great for off road but not great for gas mileage. You’ve got to add a pull electric fan if you want decent ac in Austin heat and traffic, etc…
