Myself and my dad restored a 77fj40 while i was in highschool. During his midlife crisis he sold it and now regrets that decision.. So we are both in the market for our own 77fj40 cruisers. So if you have a restored 77fj 40 for sale please let me know, email me at littlethymeranch@gmail.com with some pictures and location and a phone number to contact you or post on here. thanks for the help

We all have a vehicle we wish we had back, any way of running down the 77 that was sold? I do have a restored 77 FJ40 hanger queen, red. Its not for sale, but we all say that. What color are you looking for?

I asked my dad last night and he said he couldnt remember the name of the fella he sold it too. so thats a lost cause.

You may or may not want the original back, but if you do, pull a carfax (may tell the history), try and find it with your VIN at your local DMV (if they will do it, some won't). There are some great options out there if you are looking at restored ones, and I DO RECOMMEND buying it already done, much cheaper in the long term. What years are you looking at, do you want PS, PB, AC,, other? Color is important, why, you may settle for a good deal, but its the wrong color and the vehicle never clicks, so, don't find yourself in a direct TV commercial. Level of restoration, kingromanov's 78 is a GREAT example of a fully restored investment quality purchase. Are you buying this as a SUNDAY only vehicle where you may only put a thousand miles a year on it, or is this a driver during the good weather months? And finally, PRICE, they seem all over the map, but it is all about requirements 1st, figure out what you all want, then start your search and don't be a settler :)

American version have hard top roll over bar single seats in front with a glove box disc brakes heater ac power steering don't the window is full with out brake window like old ones I think the engine is the same just change how the air filter goes
Japanese don't have all what I mention before soft top drum brakes until 1983 long bench on the back sits split will the Japanese version was the one all over the world basically
