Looking at a high mileage LX, what is leaking here?

235k miles it’s a little beat up, was in a minor front end accident and looks like they sprayed it themselves…….

Nothing leaking from what I can see under the hood but one area only from under the car. Looks like a power steering line but what is that pump there that is leaking at the bottom? The right side has one too and it’s dry.

That’s the high pressure power steering line. I replaced mine at around 125,000 miles due to it beginning to seep from that same area.

Not sure what pump you mention is leaking ? Can you show exactly where it is in your photo?

Sorry, maybe not a pump?

Very common for the plastic oil filter housing to get mangled by over eager techs that torque it to hell and back. This can cause a leak.

Replacement stock housing is about $80 (Part # 15620-0S010).

There is also an aluminum housing that is used on other Toyota models that is very easy to jerry rig. It's cheaper and some members prefer it (metal v. plastic and all that).
