Looking at a couple FJ's

So much depends on your intended use for the rig and not enough info to give a good opinion. Sorry.

One has some "pretty" wheels, the other has a horrible smash bar. If I were looking, I'd exhaust the private market before buying from the dealers. Good luck...

I agree... Post up what you intend to use the vehicle for.

Also, make sure you find out what type of lift is installed on the lifted one. There are a few lifts out there that you may want to avoid, again depending on your intended use. If the dealer doesn't know (which I am sure they won't), take note of all the lift components or even take some pics with your cell phone. Then post up with the details.

Good luck!

My intended use is daily driver with some weekend camping trips. The lift on the lifted one is Sky Jacker, shocks and spings in the back and coilovers on the front.

Thanks for the replys

Not an impressive lift IMHO.

A stock FJC is very capable and competent. If it were me, I'd agree with the advise above, get the less expensive one, upgrade as you see fit with the money you save between the two. For $3k, you could buy an OME suspension kit (~$700) and still have another $2k+ for tires and other stuff.

Just get rid of that crappy brush guard, it will do you absolutely no good in the event of a front end "incident"...

I concur as well... Not sure how you are planning on paying for the vehicle, but if you are financing, you do not want to finance $3K just for the couple of upgrades (so-so tires, so-so lift, and what looks like a good stereo sys). Especially if you end up putting on different tires later and swapping out the lift for something better. You will still be paying for the $3K every month and the interest on top of that.

Thanks for your opinions. I ended up with a used 2010 FJ Cruiser TT SE with 11k
