2018 LC with 78k miles. Blue onyx. Certified one owner. Super clean. $68k out the door

2017 LC with 39k miles. Black. Certified. Super clean. $73k out the door.

Thoughts?

Late 2018 aka new radiator design? If so that's ~$1k saved at the dealer before 120k miles.

IMO 40k miles in the middle of 100k would be nothing, and personally loving the blue, I'd be on that 2018 even if it had the old radiator. If these are treated well they are just getting broken in at 80k. You have another 200k easy on that 18, if you take care of it.

but I haven't really tracked the prices of these.

Edit: underlying condition differences? Any rust at all?

Both are very clean. Southern owned. Dealer serviced. Almost no rust.

Flip a coin and pick one while the coin is in the air. Your gut will tell you which one you want.

Get the ‘18 and spend your $5k savings on properly outfitting it for fishing. :bounce:
This.

Also, have them send you video of the recirc flap operating in both.

What’s the consensus on the price of each.? IMO They both seem pretty much in line with retail prices these days.

Hard to say whether they are reasonable. When brand new, they were only $10-15k more than what they are asking. On that basis, they seem pricy. But the market has been inflated, so "fair" is hard to nail down. If the price is one you are willing to pay, and they are willing to sell at, it is fair.

Can you share the negotiated sale price, not the "out the door" price? The things included in an "out the door price" (dealer made up notion) can be so variable.

I’d go for the blue ‘18 for sure. Love that color and the model refresh improvements extend beyond the radiator.
Completely disagree that the changes make the vehicle better (are improvements). The auto tailgate, and loss of RSCA shutoff, are both huge downgrades, in my mind.

OTD seems to be a better comparison, especially when looking at LCs nationwide because that provides the best comparative analysis. That being said, before taxes/fees: 2017/black is $70,149, 2019/blue is $65,488

I'm leaning that way. I was surprised by how much I liked the color.
just dropped off kids to school. Saw a 100 series in blue. It looked great. There was 200 series heritage next to it. Just based on color I would have picked up the blue. I live in area that there are a lot of land cruisers.
