o I SPRAYED MINE TO IT JUST WENT SNAP I WAS LIKE s*** s*** s***ER

So what would you all do if your truck was mine beside fixs the body damage lol
Beins im able to wheel it with out a lift as is right now forget in next couple months i worry about that when it gets her but what should i do
Wich would you all go do next.
buy a locker or buy a 9,000lbs winch?
OR get the add a leafs.
airbags or air shocks on rear hell bags on front to they only like 89 bucks.
Or actualy buy the lift

I figure the locker can help me not get stuck or get me way more stuck then i would have been without the locker.
And the winch will only save my ass when im stuck and take up space till then what would u all do

HeyTCL you got any pics of your truck?

cage

then locker if you've got buddies that wheel with you heaps

then winch

oh and extended shackles can make it flex better or worse, dependant on how long they are in relation to the distance between your hangers, and the length of your main leaf

I was sorta hopeing not to roll it to be honest lol.
And nah aint got no local friends that wheel thats why im here talking to you guys.
My old lady got a heep with 31s and 3 and a half inch lift soon to get my trxs MTs 33 12/50s they on my broken heep.
How easy is it to flip a cruiser? More then a lifted jeep or less then a lifted jeep? easpecialy since im not lifted up yet.
And do you mean full junglejim from front to back? if so i be your friend if you make it for me . Im no welder

I wouldnt be so quick to rule out the body lift, there isnt very much torque on the body mount bolts at all. Thats why the factory put jamb nuts on all the mounts, so they wouldnt work lose over time. My only problem was a body mount that wouldnt let go of a bolt, 5 minutes with a hammer and it was free.

Oh, and why not toss a set of longer shackles on? They are cheap and so are shims to fix the castor.

what benifit will the shackles give me tho? Ok inch to three inchs but otherwise what plusss is there with longer shackles?whats the benifit.
Would going with the old man emu anti inversion shackles on stock springs be better then getting longer shackles. Ive never ran longer shackles on a vehicle so i dont no what gains and negitives there are to them.

I think you get more benefit from longer shackles with lift springs because when the spring compresses it has a longer way to travel until it is flat. Stock springs are already basically flat so the the shackle, instead of extending with the spring, just pushes the spring past its scrag limit and can wear your springs out quicker (lead to sagging). Thats what i was told but it amkes sense to me.

Was sup brian nice to see you hows it look dude.
Can u beleve i stuck 34s on it seriously hows it look compared to befor
Whens next time you goin wheeling let me no i wana get muddy

i am extremely impressed with how much a locker can help a cruiser but if you are not wheelin with anyone then the winch is deff what you need.

why would you want airbags unless your towing heavy heavy loads and even if you are 60 series cruisers are dogs with heavy loads.

btw most of us cruiser guys avoid mud and go for rocks and trail rides. note ih8mud --i hate mud-- what kind of wheelin do you like to do?

Well lets see I love paragon and the rocks. I like mud trail rideing and takeing my truck on vacation and finding new trails ive never been on befor and checking them out. Untill i got the ltbs i had to avoid mud like a pation due to only haveing some allterrains on it. I like playing in mud is someone is able to pull me out once i get stuck. Eventualy i wana take the cruiser to tellico but i will have the locker by then .

Why do i mention the airbags. I plan on makeing a wooden box the will cover the whole area behind the front seats to keep my tools staps jacks clothes fishing tackle in. Figure it gonna wheigh alittle. Then the steel bumbers im gonna get made with hitchs in them for front and rear. winch i want on a reciever hitch so it can be used front or rear. Plan on keeeping the spare tire in it.
Eventualy i have a Tbi smallblock out a 92 caprice cop car i wana stick in it. Major towing no a boat now and then maybe the old ladys jeep in a pinch .

I want flex alittle less lean eventualy more ground clearance one i get high centerd the way it is.

Hey man, I think the truck looks great and i believe you that they fit since i saw a guy on here running 35s no lift. I dont know when i will be wheeling next. Truck looks good man.

With longer shackles you get more suspension droop too, that would help with articulation since you can keep both tires on the ground better. And what brian said about the shackle letting the spring extend further without inverting is true too. The stock shackles are really short in my opinion, and dont seem to be the strongest thing in the world either.

My only concern is bein the spring moves forward on compression. And mytire already rubs a tiny bit on fenders wouldnt that shove the wheel into the fender and fender liner even more?

I dont think so, for the tip of the spring to move forward requires a longer shackle to swing forward less than a short one, so i think you end up with less forward motion than with a short shackle. Plus, the extra length might just make the rubbing go away anyways.

So what lenth shackles are you all recomending?

Well, you could go one inch over and get a little lift and add the anti-inversionness that couldnt hurt, its wasted money till that one day you hit something just right and bend your spring. Ive got 2 inch over stock up front and one inch over stock out back, they flexed great with stock springs when i ran them before my lift. I only went with 1 inch over in the back since they are longer to start with and the shackles longer than that looked a little goofy.

So anybody else recomend that same lenth or a difrent lenth

well im going 2 1/2 over stock in front and anti inversion 2 1/2 in the rear. My front shackles have a better angle on them than in the rear and therefore i dont need anti-inversion in the front. My rear shackles are a little too straight for me and i have inverted the rear shackles multiple times in the rear so i figure anti-inversion would be good for the rear. I am running an odd set of lift springs that are 3" over stock so the shackles i picked are kinda custom to my truck. Look at your shackle angels right now and pick it according to your truck and how much lift you want. Just remember that even though the shackles will say like 2" over stock it wont actually be a 2" lift.

Ive always heard you get half of the length in lift.

Ah yes, it always depends on the angle of the dangle.
