Power stearing would be the correct answer. Previous owner took it out, is it expensive to put it all back in? **should say engine bay**

You been taken the Whacky Weed today? The pump is there and looks like it has a belt on it. Are you sure you don't have PS. If the pump is there, belt is on it, the pulley still turns then there is fluid in it, if there is fluid in it and you don't have to fill the res. up every 12.2 seconds then the PS box should still be there b/c the hoses have to be hooked to something unless they are in a loop.

It's missing the 4WD VSV's (2 of them.) They are usually located on the upper section of the firewall on the passenger side next to the windshield wiper motor. From this picture I can't see anything else missing.

woop i spose your right. I know i dont have power stearing, the hoses arent hooked up to anything by the looks of it. If you look closely just to the right of the white fuel filter on the left side you can see a screw in a hose. Its capped off. I wonder what it went to...hmmm

Dude...I'm telling you, I see abelt on the PS pump pulley

It's a 60. No VSVs for the 4wd system.

I'm seeing a belt as well. Are you saying there is no power in the power steering?

Where do you live? That's a rusty minefield in there!

This thing right here, whats this hose go to then? Also why is my PS not working?

Also, i live in wayland MI near Grand Rapids. I need help...

The hose that has a screw in is not a power steering hose. There are two hoses for the power steering both of which are located on the right side of the motor just below the power steering pump/res. Check your power steering fluid which would be the little cap on the right of your motor, if no fluid then add some. Your steering wheel inside the car attaches to the power steering box which is located on the frame rail on the drivers side of the truck. There are two lines that connect the pump to the box both are not very long and are easy to spot.

It is supposed to connect to that coffee-can looking container. Its a vaccum line and that's a vaccum canister. Anyone know exactly what it is.

Check the reservoir and make sure you have enough fluid i it. How l ong have you had the truck and driven it w/out PS. Probably just low on fluid. Don't worry about that other hose, thats just a vacuum that used to run the vibratory emasculating pump, but most people disconnect it b/c it hogs up horse power

i JUST got it. I am completely new to cruiser and carbs. Thx again

have you checked the fluid? drivers side, the little canister to the right of where you put oil in the motor, it has what looks like a "T" on the lid.

If you track that line back towards the driver's side, I think you will find that it goes to the carb. It SHOULD be connected to the charcoal canister on the other end. It's supposed to collect fuel vapors.
