Thought I would do an update on my Summit/T-Maxx 10k winch. So Ive had it close to four years now and used it about 30 times. Several times for pulling out my 80 and misc times with friends rigs. I am very happy with it. I was wondering how the rest of you guys feel about yours and any issues comments ect...

The internal brake on mine cracked and since Westin bought them out, it's been impossible for me to get hold of anyone for parts.

So, it sits on the garage floor, replaced by a MileMarker. It works fine, pulls fine, but without the brake, isn't much good anymore...

My T-Max 9000 lb unit just started having problems this weekend. The free spool lever is slipping in and out of engagement when not under heavy load. Maybe 10 uses over its life. Need to remove and disassemble/inspect but pretty much planning on having to replace it tis spring. Either with a Superwinch Ep9.0 or Warn 9.5xp. Warn is double the money but I'll probably get what I pay for. Or maybe I get lucky and there is an easy fix. Perhaps Brian you could sell me the parts I need?
