Um... Guys...

Appalachia covers 13 states. Are you all in PA? Just looking at this from the outside and not trying to change your minds but just observing.... Appalachian doesn't really tell where you're from. The ALCA is a good moniker but I'm just playing the devil's advocate here.

Input please...

You will definitely need some place to call the, "ALCA Hall."

aahAhAhahhhahhaaa...

Rainman,

Understood.

It was the name of the local club 5-10 years back. We discussed at our meeting and decided to keep the name and revive the club with the same name, but to revamp the logo.

We are based in PA, but will likely have members from Nothern MD, and possibly as far east as New Jersey.

I believe back in the day it was suggested to have an event called the ALCA-Haul...

Here is the original logo which was designed by one of the club members -

I'm assuming you'd like something a little more... Bold? Is your club filled with mostly stock Cruisers or do you wheel challenging terrain?

Nope. My property. It's my work and I have the file. No shirts though. We sold out every year at least up to '03.

@caz is right. Way too much going on to reproduce small. I'll try to see if I can do something similar though.

Does anyone have a shirt with this logo? I would love to get one.
I still have one of the original ALCA shirts, it's on a shelf in my closet. It's been worn and washed a few times but hasn't yet dipped down to the level of becoming a 'shop shirt', which is only one step above being a 'rag'. That may happen one day soon.
The screen print on the back of this shirt is an old image of an early 40 rolling chassis, replete with steering wheel and shifter. Pretty cool image, don't know where Jeff D got it from tho. The slogan on the back with the chassis was something like "4-Lo is our happy place". Different...but not really catchy (like, "Got Rocks?" is.)
I never cared much for this shirt.
Mike

Hey Mike, I think Eric was referring to the GSMTR shirt image from the first page of the post.

My vote, do something similar to the Keystone logo that Bill made - professionally laid out with a fresh Cruiser drawing in the center rather than using the TLCA truck image.

If we want to do a shirt, we can put any number of cool things on the back - but the logo should be simple.

For the logo:

Maybe a truck image more like this one <------LINK to an image also drawn by Rainman

Try to make it look more "vintage" than Bill's mockup -

My two cents....

My bad in the previous post. Thought you were asking about the ALCA shirts...
I still have one of these shirts from the '03 GSMTR. It's a large and I never wear it because it's uber-rare.
That, and it's priceless.

My GSMTR attendance spans the years 1997 thru 2008, and believe it or not I still have the event shirts from each year. Appears that Rainman stopped doing artwork for the STLCA around 2003(?) and it really shows with the lack of creativity in the shirts that were printed 2004 and beyond.

He (Rainman) posted to the 40-55 section with some examples of his artwork from the mid-90's. Take a look, he's gaging interest in maybe doing some reprints or wall art.
