Dealer Locked '98 w/140k in Denver, CO $9,900

Hey all. I thought I'd share this with the good folks of 'Mud.

I checked out this 100 today for a friend and he's passing on it due to rust underneath. The dealer was very forthcoming about the rust so it's no knock on him, but it could be no problem for someone else.

The other possible deal-breaker may be the lack of a functioning rear locker and no indication that the CDL was working either. There were no dash indicators that either were working properly and the rear locker definitely did not engage.

The dealer said he would take it to his mechanic to evaluate and get back to me. At that time, I'll update this post.

Other than those things, it drove great, was clean and felt VERY solid on the road.

Dealer called me back after having his mechanic look at it.

The rear locker is in fact, not functional. The actuator will need to be repaired or replaced and the CDL is also not functional, possibly due to an electrical issue, possibly due to a problem within the transfer case.

Certainly doesn't bode well for the concept of it being a $9900 Land Cruiser....Not to say it's a pile of puke...just not $10K
