Lock Doors in D Key FOB configuration.

My stealership has told me several times that I have to buy a special alarm to have my doors lock when I put it in Drive. I know this is 100% false. Ive ignored the problem with my car for three years, but for my wifes car I need peace of mind. Does anybody have any remote configuration manuals or instructions they can pass on? Or just how to do it on the computer so I can show them.

You got me. When I put my 200 in drive and move a couple of feet the doors auto lock. Been that way since I bought it back in '08

On mine it's easy.

On the NAV with the ignition all the way ON, select SETUP:

Choose Vehicle:

Choose Vehicle Customization:

Choose Door Lock Settings:

A myriad of settings are available including the ones you are looking for.

I believe in your nav settings you can find a menu to change these settings. You will have to be stopped likely to access the menu, unless you have the magic switch nearby you can push and access full nav anytime...good luck, let us know if you indeed can't find the setting there in the "setup" menu...

Thanks for the tips, but I have no NAV option. L.A. TLCs come with Pioneer double din head units. No idea why.

In that case, you have to have a dealer hook up his Techstream computer and change the settings to what you want.
