I’ve got intermittent (in the mornings generally) inability to use power locks on any door but the driver side via any method.

I now seem to have lost the “flashing” of the corner lights when I lock or unlock the doors.

The manual seems to indicate that all switches lead to “main body ecu (cowl side junction box lh)”

I’m concerned I may have water intrusion. But I don’t know where this part is located, likely, because the manual seems to have it named something other than what it actually is.

Is the main body ecu also known as
BODY CONTROL MODULE

Part Number: 8922660042

Supersession(s): 89226-60042; 8922660041?

Is it possibly, instead, called a gateway ecu?

Likely Not an ECU issue and likely a much cheaper fix.

The door lock actuators, or at least some of them have gone bad. Some have reported theirs have gone bad with very low miles. When i dug up the service history of mine, it showed they first replaced one of them around 40.

When i got my 200 i had the same issue you describe. Intermittent at best and never got the "chirp" when hitting the fob and the lights didnt flash.

Mine ended up being the 2 drivers side actuators. Replaced those, all good now, chirps and lights flash when i lock it now.

I have pics, part #s and process on my build thread

Note: Mine would 50% of the time work with the main front drivers door master switch, 50% wouldnt, work 50% of the time with the fob, 50% wouldnt, etc...

Havent had any issues at all in 2 months since replacing actuators

I suppose I could access the affected actuators and use a multimeter to see if they were receiving a signal.

My suspicion is that they’re not receiving a signal though since every actuator except the drivers “failed” at the same time…and they ALL also start working again in the afternoon when everything’s nice and warm (and potentially dry).

Would you happen to know where the “main body ecu (cowl side junction box lh)” is located?

Or what an alternate part name for it might be (since I can’t find that part listed as a replacement part online)

Read through this:

I did so. It’s nice to know how inexpensive and easy an actuator replacement is.

That being said, I think my actuators are fine-they all lock fine. The passenger and rear doors merely won’t unlock except manually (except in the afternoon heat, where everything seems to function fine).

Yes. Mine were both drivers side

Sometimes would work with FOB, sometimes wouldn’t, usually worked with drivers door master switch, sometimes not.

Didn’t notice heat difference when they would work and when they wouldn’t, but might make sense.

When I took mine apart to replace, one looked a little old and dusty, one looked brand spanking new.

Now all work perfectly.

Honestly, it’s a voodoo mystery how and why these issues are so common

Initially it would flash the lights and then chirp like a dozen times (which is more than usual).

Now it’s no longer flashing, can’t remember if it’s chirping. I may have changed some settings in the car to stop the flashing, not sure though-I’ll check.

All doors still lock though.

So the weird issue I had is that I didn’t get the chirp or the flash when I locked mine with FOB even when they were all locking properly.

After switching out the 2 drivers side intermittent actuators, mine now chirps and flashes.
