Although this is billed as a 70 Series event and the focus is on the somewhat rare 70 Series,
ALL LAND CRUISERS ARE INVITED. 😊
That is good to know! I will spread the word.

Not actually local, but looks like a great opportunity!

After Ted Turner's henchmen effectively closed Georgia beyond FS roads, our view of local has needed to adjust to the resulting reality.

Windrock is a closer wheeling opportunity than AOAA, and possibly more scenic. But AOAA does have Whalerock which is a multistory cliff resulting from mining (an anthracite coal vein; for scale- many of the trees on top of the cliff are mature)

Skyline Drive is scenic drive option to-and-from AOAA

Matthew,
Are there any objectives or desires to get specific types and conditions of Cruisers represented? If so, what is your shopping list?

Thanks

Everyone is welcome. Bring any vehicle you want, there will be lots of cars there, not just Toyota's.

Mark your calendars now for our fall YOTA Atlanta, Georgia Traverse trip, October 19-24. Here is the plan so far... more specific details coming soon.
Sunday, October 19th

- Leave Atlanta sometime Sunday afternoon
- Camp at GA Traverse trail head (Probably Kings Falls or Burrell’s Ford Campground - Mountain Rest, SC 29664)

Monday, October 20th
- Eat breakfast, break camp, and start driving west

Monday, October 20st, through Friday, October 24th, will be on the trail traveling west, stopping along the way to see some waterfalls, hikes, scenic views, and camping each night somewhere along the trail. The goal probably is to end up somewhere around Dalton, GA, on Friday and finish the trip with a brisket sandwich from Buc-ee's in Adairsville, GA, on the way home down I-75, or end up grilling out at a YOTA Members Cabin in the area.

As I mentioned, more specific details will be shared soon, but please mark your calendars now!
Hope you can join us!
