Did someone here purchase this LX470?
I backed out ... but I think its going to be a very very nice vehicle.
Love to hear how good or bad this LX is.

Did the CarFax show any accidents?

CarFax can be almost worthless in some cases. I ran a CarFax on my own '97 Cruiser that we've had for 17 yrs. There was almost no 'history' on it and certainly NO mention of a $9,600 repair for damage to the rear quarter panel and pillar that occurred when my Wife hydroplaned off into a ditch (backwards) and hit a tree. Believe me...it was significant.

But back to the subject. An Airbag light can come on for a variety of reasons. The owner/dealer should have a good 'idea' why it is on, or should be able to tell you when it came on and that a collision was or was not the cause.

the carfax showed no report and showed even intervals of service from the lexus dealership in winston salem. looks like the guy leased it then bought it off lease and kept driving it. looks like a well cared for and clean truck. pissed I didn't get there in time...

In my experience 'LexusDrivers' is a much better source for maintenance records and issues the vehicle might have been serviced for. IF CarFax 'confirms' that....all the better, but I don't trust C/F to provide accurate information. It only serves to give you an 'idea' of ownership, mileage, title transfers, etc...

In any case...it pays to do all the research 'possible' before handing over your money. There are plenty of clean LX's out there for sale, its the Land Cruisers that are hard to find.
