Hey, I have a 2013 and have noticed on a few occasions that when loaded, today 5 passengers baggage, two bikes, the vehicle seems to roll more than I would expect over bumpy highway. It was especially apparent when the road had lumps In a curve driving about 60 mph. Does anyone else have this feeling/issue? My LC just turned 60k so I wouldn't think it was a over miled suspension. Thanks.

We've had 7 people and lots of gear on the roof and never felt anything like you described! I can tell you that after putting my lift on the vehicle handles way better no or no load...

Any time you increase weight above the wheels you are going to increase roll somewhat. But...are you sure you weren't just thinking about it more than usual? I haven't seen a noticeable issue in my 7 year old 200...with 60k miles on it now.

On the other hand...stock suspension is FAR WORSE than just about any aftermarket such as OldManEmu (Now ARB) and others.
My 100 Series was vastly improved re roll...even though the lift sat it up higher. i expect a similar improvement when I lift this 200 this month (yay!).

You might want to consider a suspension upgrade...or...have your Toyota dealer test it. If it is wildly worse...I'm pretty sure that's not normal, as mine doesn't.

Thanks for the reply, since these things are relative I will get someone else to drive it and see.

defenderdat, there was another thread here in the 200 section where the vehicle was described as unstable also. It turned out to be an issue with the KDSS system, I don't recall what exactly.

I thought of that too. Wonder if air got into the KDSS?

I've been experiencing the same thing. Very unsettling with my family in loaded down 200 pulling a trailer with my side-by-side at Thanksgiving!

Felt like it could roll over. Serious pucker moment.

My KDSS valves are rusted shut.

Am I going to have to replace whole system? This seems very complicated.

I've been reading more about the KDSS system... How on flat cornering, the pressure in the system created by each of the outside wheels cancels out movement...reducing roll. When off road...each suspension point hits bumps separately, and so they are allowed to move upward freely.
So...if it's not pressurized...I'm thinking KDSS is treating the vehicle as though it's on uneven ground...and NOT canceling the movement...thus letting it roll.

Don't know if that's it, but I think itmakws sense.
Here's a great little video that helped me understand KDSS:

I got to drive @defenderdat 's 200 last Saturday. I could not feel any real noticeable difference when driving it. Granted, it was not loaded down. It's possible that the weight exacerbates the problem, and makes it more noticeable.

Wow. Look what I posted in Nov 2011 after 5 months of ownership.
200 Ride quality On-Road

I found that it was the rear bottoming out on the rubber bump stops. It did NOT like being loaded with 7 passengers.
New spring and shocks did wonders.

Agreed with the above on suspension changes. I really disliked the dynamics on stock suspension whether empty or loaded. In my case with Radflo suspension and a good alignment it is a transformed vehicle - and this with a very heavy RTT, rack and offroad bumpers, winch, equipment and then towing an offroad camp trailer.
