Hello Guys,
I just did the wiring for keyless entry into my LJ78. Sorry no picas.
The product was BULLDOG Deluxe 500 remote starter with keyless entry.
I already had installed the remote starter a few years ago, but never got around to doing the keyless entry till now.
Here are some observations and info.
I ran the wires from the control module through the driver side (RHD) kick panel, through the boot into the door. There were total of four wired from the module and two from the vehicle that needed attention.
I could not remove the door panel from the inner handle; I removed the screw, but still would not come off. Anyways I ran the wires into the door and made sure they were tucked behind the glass sliding channel. I had to detach some of the plastic barrier using a knife. And put my hand through the hole.
The lock wire at the switch is red-black and unlock is red-white. The wires from keyless module were spliced into these; soldered, taped, shrink wrapped.
The wiring also required me to ground two wires from the module. the remote now locks/unlocks all the door locks just like the switch.
If anybody has any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
Ali.
