Finally i did it. It runs, it crawls, it does everything i need it to do very well. Engine itself fits pretty snug in lj78's bay. I will try to answer any questions you may come up with regarding this swap in this thread.

Молодец! The engine looks like it belongs there. Is that a Mega Cruiser intercooler? Are you running turbo coolant hoses?

Nice landscape - looks like the Pre-Caspian region to me :)

Right! Everything under the hood is pretty much stock from Mega Cruiser, including A/T аnd transfer case. You can't see mega's intercooler though, it was installed in front of the radiator (and it's not that big of a cooler too). Thinking about installing a bigger turbo and tweaking injection pump a bit with it.

Yes, it is, "Big Brother" barchan area, to be specific.View attachment 3718534

Amazing!! Thanks for sharing here. This has always been my dream.

Very neat to see you use the whole Megacruiser setup. Looks perfect, and I bet the power/economy is great.

Did you have to modify the drive shafts to fit? (flange at t-case? length?)

Yes, ive used stock lj's drive shafts, had to modify them in length and make them fit to flanges at transfer case.

Economy-wise, well, it's mega cruiser from now on. I need to play with the gear ratio on my rear axle to determine which one fits best, stock is 4.88, auto shifts kinda fast and acceleration falls off pretty quick on the highway. 0-80 feels much better than 2LTE, 80+ feels like it's not happening (well, it does, but you get it). No problems in the city and off road though.

Maybe larger tires would fix this? Possibly motor is spinning faster than designed and out of power band.

I like 35" tire for 4.88 in mine. Comfortable engine speed on highway.
