Little gasket

I am putting my hardtop on my 75 fj40 for the first time and so far cannot find my answer by searching.
It is not clear to me where the little gasket about 1x2 inches with a step and a slot in the thinner section goes. I know it is somewhere on the corner of the windshield. On SOR hardtop gasket page it is item # 4 . A picture would be worth a thousand words.

Is it about 3.5' - 4' long? If so, sounds like the one that goes on top of the windshield.

I just went to the shop and measured the gasket, it is: 2 5/8 x 1 3/4, 7/16 thick on one end and 3/16 on the other. I'm just having a brain **** on how it works with the windshield.

The thin part is to the inside on mine. I will post pic as soon as I find my cable for my camera.

Sorry for the poor quality but the a tree attacekd my hard top and the roll bar is in the way.

I know the pictures don't show much but since you have the piece in your hand, you can tell wich side the thick part goes on.
