Considering you can run D60 pinion and ring gears in a 61 (with a spacer) I see no reason why a 61 would be inherently weaker in the pinion than a 60 is.

The tubes are generally thicker and the housing is actually trussed a bit better.

Other than a couple of issues with potential ring and pinion gears (that issue being ratios, not strength). It is as strong as a D60.

I think justin is real world reality that 61 are strong. If the trade didnt come along I would ZERO hesitation building that 61.
