Well after being really sick (lucky to be alive) for 3 weeks after the riverboarding trip (I managed to contract somewhere (either before during or after) LEPTOSPIROSIS (rat urine virus) and it almost killed me 10 days in hospital (kidneys shut down and heart issues, headache, stomach and a whole host of issues) and 2 weeks rest im back in action on a strict 2 month rest and recovery trying to put on the 6kg I lost.

So I decided to upgrade REDs lights and installed a 10" "E" RIGID INDUSTRIES LED bank . The difference is immense

This is the before and this is HIGH Beam.

This is the after and it only pulls 2.8AMPS.

Cannot wait to try the 20" on the VOlvo worth every cent I paid.

I'm now going to kit the rest of the trucks out with a 10" light for jungle driving.

That is quite impressive!

Now a quick question is that the spot light or the flood? I have the cheaper Chinese versions and wow the do make a difference but for me it's more in really snowy conditions.

Can you post a photo of the actual lights and how you have them mounted?
Thanks.....

YEs post up I will have already taken the pic yesterday. Will do tonite at home.

The pics do not do the lights justice. I get over 300 meters of visible light out of them and it is not a NASTY reflecting light.

Just perfect for jungle driving.

This it the setup. 2 rows of 10 LEDS a mix in the case of FLOOD and SPOT lights.

The 20" one I have bought for the VOlvo has a range of about 400-700 meters. I am intending to put a 6" either side of the 20" pointing outwards at 30deg to the front to let me look around corners.

Installation was simple weld a 1.5" flat steel bar to the bull bar and a bracket then attach the u bracket to this and bolt the light to it. 11mm lock nuts can be undone to take it inside home in about 30 seconds. Very slick.

I will post up the PIA R&D equivalents tomorrow.

Seen to much China s*** fail here in the jungle to even wanna think about it. (Difflocks etc all FAIL when you really need them not to).

I think you'll be pleased with this.

Here's a 10" in the middle with 2 x 6" bars on both sides, pointed out at slight angles.

Yes impressive just what im going to do to the Volvo.

These LED's would make a mighty fine reversing lamp.

I have not seen these for sale in Malaysia yet....although they must be available somewhere.

They are available in Malaysia 4WD shop in Shah Alam. The price there is cheaper than you can import them direct (30% duty etc and shipping costs). Just not a friendly shop - sales only chit chat and customer relations not there they are too busy with HUGE TNB contracts kitting out 1200 new pickups with EVERYTHING :(.

The Dually (2x2) is an ideal reversing light we have one on one of the ATV's as an evaluation for NITE ATV trips - totally AWESOME we do not even turn on the ATVs cheap China lights.

Thanks for that info on 4x4 Shah Alam. I never been that place.

1200 trucks..eek...

You cannot miss there work EVERY Pickup in TNB is being replaced. TRITON (400 just being kitted out) , ISUZU, HILUX . Had lunch with a high up in TNB yesterday told me quite a bit about it. He asked me how did I know it was 1200 trucks that was not common knowledge hahaha.

THis is how it looks and I like it undo 2 lock nuts and undo the plug its able to be taken into the house and its SAFE from 5 finger freddies :) .

Actually the unit is very heavy and very solid construction.

Great to hear you are on the mend......

Those lights look great...
I have just put on 4x 27w leds from ebay... not as strong as yours but the price was right... and they are just flood.....Work great in the forest....
Open areas it drops off quick but its better than just headlights

What kind of cost are you looking at? Anyone have a north american source? One on my front bumper would be nice and one on the rear somewhere!
