Light Duty/Heavy duty steering rod difference?

Are there any differences in the tie and relay rods (steering bars) on the HD and LD axles?

Ive noticed the HD relay rods seem to have some kind of damping on the rod ends? What does this do and is it possible to fit these ends onto a LD relay rod and/or fit the HD rods to a LD axle?

Are the HD rods any stronger than the LD rods?

Using HZJ79 greaseable links on my HDJ81, thing is you need to change out the pitman and steering arm otherwise adapt your existing gear to fit.

For me the tre's are interchangeable across the models.

Looks like these are available for all models.

I think from memory 75 and 77(LJ's) are not as my BJ75 greaseble tie rod ends did not fit the LJ77 when they replaced them and they had to go back to the parts store and I think they ended up with 80 series tie rod ends.

The quickest solution is to customize the fit via a drill and or file.
Otherwise you probably need to change parts.
