Just wanted to share a couple of pics of the Baja Designs S8 30" I just mounted in the front bumper. The reinforcement bar behind the plastic bumper provided a very good location to bolt in some heavy duty L brackets and then attach the mounting brackets that came with the light. I bought the wiring harness specifically for the S8 which has the extra push button for the amber running lights. I mounted the switches on the left side. The camera doesn't really do it justice when the main lights are on, but they are like stadium lights. Absolutely no way could you drive with them on they are so bright even during the day. Plus the Baja Designs uses a softer 5000 kelvin color (less white) light which is really easy on the eyes. Rigid is around 5700-5900 kelvin, which is too white in my opinion. The BD's are extremely well built and the size matched almost perfectly with the opening in the front. My front bumper paint was all flaking off (from previous owner paint job) so before I got it redone I did the cutting.

did you have to drill holes on the support beam? And where did you put the wire through the firewall at?

Looks good, the smoke, black-out lense would have been pimp

Looks great!

Do you happen to have any photos of the install?

Looks perfect!

Thanks for the responses guys. It took a while of searching for the right light bar to fit in that spot. I didn’t take pics of the install, but the light bar is bolted onto a really thick aluminum L bracket and then the L bracket is bolted onto the support beam (I think it’s called the reinforcement bar). The wiring ran alongside the other wiring coming in on the drivers side fire wall. I had to make a small cut in the rubber and then used black silicone to seal it up. Baja Designs doesn’t make the smoke lense, but their lenses are interchangeable, so I can go with amber color or change all to spot beams. Since there are 3 light sections I can change each one to suit what I want.

Also the plastic bumper had to get completely removed, then the light bar completely mounted, and then the bumper was fitted back over top. I’ll try to take some pics of the mounting points I did along with the L brackets.
