Help!

My dearest wifemate, Cheryl, has just decided to lift her 100, and wants me to research and tell her how much, with what, and from where. So much for the Slee bumper and winch for my 80:confused:.
She will not put it in the weeds, so this mod is just for looking 'cool'.
I will take any advice I can get. Help!!!

Look @ the 100 section. They will tell you all you want to know. I get over into that forum abotu everytime the 100 bug hits me. Andy might have some input as well.

- Does the '05 LC have the AHC? If it does then you have a free lift, just have to get it "stock" in the top position.

Hi - It's Cheryl (aka CC). Thanks for the referral to the 100 section. I'll look around there. It takes a while to figure out how to use all the tools in this forum.

Sorry to miss Culhowee in Feb. (especially since Ken has dibs on a real bed :o ) but warm, sunny Florida suits me much better until March!

I hope the attachment of the 40 'that got away' comes through on the post.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

Hi Marshall,

Ain't she a beauty???

'77 we bought from a friend back in '01 with first right of refusal buy-back agreement. All mods were done but it some rust breaking through. It sat in the garage for two years. I loved to drive it except in the summer  and our intention was to drag it behind the motorhome. Ken decided we shouldn't tow it and decided not to put PS or AC in it. Our friend bought it back in '03 and then resold to somone local (Travelers Rest, maybe). We should have kept it just to look at it although I will say my '05 100 rides like a dream!

Wow, nice 40!

CC, come over to the 100 section and we'll get you set up. I just happened to stop by because this thread came up in my search for something else.

1st of all, I agree. Nice 40!!

2nd, forget lifting your 100. Buy my lifted 100 instead!! :grinpimp:

Seriously though, good advice here. Like other cruiser models, OME makes good stuff. You can get it lots of places including Slee. Good all around guide at the Slee site too:

http://sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbieUZJ100.htm

Also, since the 100 is IFS up front, it's a little more involved with the diff drop, CV boots, etc.

Good all around FAQ from the 100 section. Note the mods, suspension and problems sections:

As said here, the 100 section is very helpful. Those folks will point you in the right direction.

Good luck!

The problem is (was), she did look nice (the 40), but under the paint she had problems.... with rust.....carb.....steering....and reliability.....CC and me in the wilds of CO/MT/BC/AK in the late winter... a 15' snow bank on each side of the road, 150 miles from the
civilization, alone in that 40....I don't think so...Scooter!!!.
Now?.....a FJC....clearer thinking.
