Any recommendations on where to buy a roof spoiler for a 2003 lx470, I've been seeing a lot on ebay but I've bought from sellers on there and sometimes the quality is just crap so any recommendations would be helpful.

Ordered one through the alibaba app. I think it’s was 150 shipped and everything lines up.

It's not a GT3, it doesn't need a spoiler. :)

PS: If someone wants to swap their non spoiler gallactic grey liftgate for mine let me know.

Hi, I have a rear roof spoiler on my 2002 lx. What is the purpose of these? The condition of the paint on it differs big time from the rest of the vehicle.

Because youre in california. Every Toyota and Lexus I've seen or owned from a state like that, the plastic panels all had either faded/matte paint or clearcoat failure. Plastic heats up more than metal and alot of smaller parts like gas doors, door handles, mirrors, bumpers etc are painted with either different paint or by third parties and don't hold up as well over time.

From an aesthetic point of view then, is it a piece I can remove myself? It was mentioned in another reply that it prevents dirt accumulation on rear window but I don’t use car for off road.

Yes it's removable. You will have a number of small holes to plug on the upper tailgate. You can use plastic or rubber plugs. Buy a variety kit on amazon for $5-10 bucks and call it a day. My LX has the OEM spoiler so the third (middle) brake light is built into the spoiler. It has a painted plastic cover on the upper catch covering the place of the 3rd brakes light on the standard models (that were not optioned with the spoiler). You'll have that problem to solve too, basically just find a used third brake light off a non-spoiler model 100 series.
