Hi everyone. I'm thinking of getting a 1" lift springs from performance products, it's all the lift I need. Anyway, if I install this, do I need anything else to upgrade or change if I do the this minimal lift? ( change like in steering or something ) Shocks will definitely replaced. What do you guys think of Bilstien or Procomp. This will be pretty much an on-road vehicle, maybe very little offroad.

Thanks :)

you could just space the original springs 1"

Bilstien for on road, or offroad would be [and are] my choice.

How could I space the springs. I thought of doing that, but how and with what?
Thanks :)

Couldn't you get 1" of lift by going to medium or heavy OME springs, for less $$'s.

Thanks,

No - OME springs will give you more than 1 1/2. Slee make 1 1/2 spacers that will bolt in...without changing springs

I'd use Mr gasket spring spacers up front (part number 1285) for one inch. In the rear maybe you can find something on Slee's site.

Mr. Gasket spacers are about $13 a pair, no they don't fit the rear springs.

I believe Performance Products sells some 1" lift springs (http://www.performanceproducts.com/...+Lift+Springs&productid=104589&producttype=20). And I belive the OME 861/862 combo are very close to stock height or mildly higher (http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/sus_80series.html).
In my opinion, I'd only keep the stock springs and add spacers if you enjoy the way the truck handles and feels now. If you think it sways too much and feels a bit like a boat now is the time to get a firmer spring with that little or big lift.

Is caster an issue with a one inch increase from springs?

I agree with the clown except I would buy the OME "no-lift" springs from Slee off-road.

I just install my OME stock springs and shocks Tuesday. Much better than stock, but it was a 2" lift only becasue my OEM were so worn out.

I belive OME states a 15mm increase over new OEM springs; all other things being equal (bumper, seats, fuel load, etc.)

Yes, Slee said it would only be 1/2" but in my case 2" and for the front drivers 3.5" <super saggy.

Lurker,

I think this is the route I'm going to go. No other mod/corrections required for this setup.., right? My rear really sags under any substantial load with the OEM springs.
