I currently run the westcott designs preload spacer lift on my 2008 LC. I’m running 295 70 18s with BMC and an arb front bumper and spidertrax wheel spacers. I am now running into a bit of rubbing due to the weight of the bumper and winch. I’m looking to do shocks and springs for a better lift to handle the weight of the bumper. Any idea how big of a lift I need to fit my 34s? Was looking at the iron man 2” lift but not quite sure if it will get me back to a height where I’ll clear my tires. Going off no data since I went straight to 34s and the westcott kit

It’s counter intuitive but it won’t help. Even with a lift, when your suspension compresses it’s going to travel in the same range of motion whether you have a lift or not.

Installing a lift might fix your around town rubbing but isn’t really fix.

Whether or not you decide to add a lift I would recommend focusing on remediating your rubbing.

I wasn’t rubbing at all with the pre load lift that is still currently have. It wasn’t until the addition of the extra weight of the bumper and winch that made me begin to rub. I guess my question is, how do I get back to the height I was at before the bumper by adding a lift with a heavy duty spring to take the weight of the bumper.

You might not have been rubbing as much, and the point where you were rubbing might have been further away from static height, but if you ran the suspension through all of it's travel, you still have the same potential for rubbing before and after the bumper addition, and with a new lift or your current lift. It looks like you also have low offset wheels (Maybe 0 offset?) and pretty wide tires, so it will take some pretty substantial work to eliminate all the rubbing.
Have you looked at WHERE it's rubbing? That might help with some more targeted ideas to help get the rubbing under control.

With wheel spacers and the lower offset wheels a Lt295/70r18 is likely to rub more at the rear of the wheel well/fender liner. The arb front bumper is giving you breathing room at the front .
Also check the driver side KDSS bar. That’s an area to keep an eye on during full to Nearly full steering lock to the passenger side.
For comparisons sake my smaller LT285/70r18 with a 25mm offset required me to remove the front rear mud flaps and trim down a small portion of the rocker panel cover to clear through the entire range of suspension travel. I still do polish /touch The driver side kdss at full lock when moving. It clears when static but slightly touches when moving.

Those tires look like the new Yokohama G017 AT/XD ?!? How have they been treating you ? Give us an honest review of them. I have been wanting to jump to these but have heard the road noise is nearly as bad as a MT, hard to imagine but they do have have deep large lugs.

If you do end up replacing the Wescott kit, hit me up. I'll buy the top spacers from you.

Looking closer, those Icon wheels are +25 offset, which is pretty close to idea. if you have wheel spacers on top of the Icon wheels for more "poke", the very first thing you should do is remove them. Then see where you are rubbing and start addressing. If you want to regain some height to offset the bumper and winch, that's totally fine, but it won't really eliminate the rub.
