I've been checking out this thread with lots of great info.
GX470 Primer for the Ideal Mild-Build for Under $3000
Here in Japan a lot of folks just do either front/rear Springs or spacers for a 2inch lift. Obviously with no real off road intentions. Just the ability to put in a bigger tire. Say 285/70/R17. That's the tire size I'm leaning towards for my new to me Prado.
Are there any real down falls to just doing front/rear springs(retaining stock shocks)for a desired 2inch lift? Also, lowering the diff at the same time. Mine did not come with the sport package and I figure I'm better for it?
This Prado will do in town and highway milies(kilos)
for the most part and the occasional camping off road type thing. No rock climbing whatsoever.
Just would like the look with the bigger rubber. Lame I know...
Cheers
