The only piece I left in was that little black solenoid in the foreground of your photo.

I have been driving mine as is but I am still throwing codes... I took it to a service shop and he spent an hour and a half trying to figure out what was going on (and did not even charge me - amazing right). Anyway we checked the codes and it showed all kinds of actuators/solenoids disconnected. All of the connectors to each shock are just hanging and not connected to anything. Fuses all appear to be there and the compressor appears to be connected. So pissed at the "suspension specialists" that did my work.

I think the two things you need to make sure of are; 1) That the air pump is still installed and plugged in (user giovanni still has the air pump plugged into the solenoid to the computer thinks that the air pump is still installed) 2) that the rear level sensors are still connected, that they still have the linkage installed, and that they are level after your lift. If you check my post on CL you can see that I added washers to my rear level sensors.

EDIT: all four of my shocks were disconnected and I just left the plugs hanging. No error messages on my dash. The only issue I have is that when the rear of the car is loaded up with gear, the air compressor will turn on and continue to run since there's no air bags installed to fill and lift the rear end back to level.

thanks... we checked and all those things appear to be connected. The rear sensors are on washers so they are level. So I am just stumped. Been to several shops including lexus. Their service tech couldn't figure it out. My best hope is finding someone near central Oregon that knows GX suspensions and can help in exchange for $$$. I wish Stellar was closer but they are 7 hours away.

Can you take a pictures of both rear level sensors and the air compressor (the compressor is behind the rear wheel on the driver's side) and post them here?

I will try and get that today...appreciate it

This is accurate - I basically took the control solenoid off the compressor and left just the solenoid plugged into the harness. No error codes, even when the vehicle squats and the computer would be attempting to turn the compressor on. All shocks are disconnected and the plugs just "hanging"; all I did there was zip tie them so they wouldn't flail around.

ok, I'm sure everyone needs a good laugh today so at my expense here goes....

I have spent a lot of time tracing out this suspension system issue and I am not a beginner at troubleshooting systems by any means, however I am standing before you completely humbled today.

I went back to take pictures for this thread and retraced it again and everything looked right. So scratching my head, I went back to take the picture of the compressor and thought "I just can't believe I can't find the problem". As I started to take the picture, I noticed the plug to the compressor looked a little like it might not be fully seated. So I went to push it in all the way and it moved a little until it made that familiar "click”. Then in disbelief and thinking No F'ing Way, I started up the engine and watched the dash and ...NO MORE CHECK SUSPENSION warning!! All I could say for the next few minutes was "No F'ing Way" while I stared at the dash with no messages.

Wow, so many people other than me have looked at this whole system and finally it was that ridiculously simple. I guess it fooled all of us because it appeared to be plugged in.

I was actually ready to drive for hours to find anyone who could fix it. I will wait to see if it comes back on for some reason or this doesn't solve it but for now it works.
Thank you (and apologies) to everyone who helped with advice. Oh and ironically, another funny thing happened, I immediately had this award show up at my doorstep...

oh well, on to the next project.

Thank you all for the help... I don’t think I can ask for any more help in this forum for quite some time

Have to admit that after all that pain in the arse work, that it turned out to be something that simple.
It's kind of a double edged sword, it was a headache getting there but easy when done and not more grief along the way, like disassembling EVERYTHING.
Really glad for you! As an R&D engineer, I go through this ALL the time!!
