Lift gate hydraulic stay

Stay... Stay...Stay.....!!
The dog knows what it means but it didn't really work with my lift gate.. I think the hydraulic lifts are shot. I looked them up and the cheapest OEM ones are $100 a side. Any cheaper aftermarket alternatives? That's one thing I don't mind using non-Toyota parts for.

Someone posted some cheap ones from mcmaster carr that worked. I need to do this at some point also.

there was some other fixes i just liked that one best search tailgate struts and check em out real quick

I grabbed some from ebay - Australia. They were $50 shipped. Work great. IIRC others have done similar.
