I am looking at a FJ60 here close by in Kentucky. It looks good in the pictures, I need to go check it out in person. The lift gate and tail gate both have damage and rust. About what price range do these run used? These could possibly be repaired, just was wondering on cost of replacing. Thanks.

Thanks all.

I have been looking at FJ60's for a long while and this is the first one close by. I have yet to look at it in person, but it did not sell on ebay. Did not meet the reserve and was bid up to $2,000. It has damage to the rear upper and lower gates. All useable, just kind of rough. Some dents here and there but a well maintained, daily driven two owner cruiser with 170,000 miles on it. Some new parts, runs and drives great and burns no oil. I was wondering what the cost of the gates were to help on what I was wanting to give for it. If it is solid other than the rust on the gates, I will probably buy it. I will then enter the world of fj's anonymous. Hello, my name is Kevin, and I am a FJ60 owner...

Also keep in mind that the closer to you replacement panels are, the more likely they've been bondo-ed over once or worse. SO while a west coast guy like myself might cost a few more $$ to get the part shipped from, it could be apples vs lemons on quality.

Good thing about dealing with regulars on the board like Kurt, treerootco, dearborn or myself is that we'll take a minute to pull an inspection cover and tell you what the INSIDE of the panel looks like, which will tell you a world more about what you're getting.

Good luck.
