I went to my favorite Lexus parts website to price a few "LX" only items and saw this promotion. This is only for dealers participating in the "Simple Part" sponsored parts e-commerce sites, you can put your part # and zip code into Shop Lexus Parts and Accessories Online - https://parts.lexus.com and open as many dealer sites as you want to find the best prices, optimize the free shipping coupon and tax.
I just ordered:
LCAs
Transmission Mount
Steering Rack
FDS x 2
CV Axle 98-07 $412 at Bell Lexus no out of state sales tax, if nothing changed... they refund core upon dispatch of the order for big ticket items with cores.. It might be potentially less stringent regulations on cores in AZ.
Call Dan and Joe at their parts department to confirm.
98-02 Rack and Pinion: $593, got one last Cyber Monday at $586.
03-07 VGRS Rack and Pinion 44250-60120: $792
03-07 non-VGRS Rack and Pinion 44250-60100, doesn't seem to be listed.
Edit: There's a core on starters, no core on CV axles. Most likely still the case for racks.
If they want the cores back for a starter I'd assume there's a core charge for the automatic transmissions too.
Looks like a similar deal described above by Slick and YJ668 with my local dealer. Plus they are doing free shipping with orders over $100. I worked with Cody. Genuine Lexus Parts | Lexus of Mobile - https://parts.lexusofmobile.com/
Just got a mexican radiator after canceling my previous order for one for $335 and free shipping.
I bought a AC blower fan this time. Bearing sounded slightly grindy.
It's the lowest price between stealerships and Amayama/Partsouq/Impex.
Will probably not beat the Southeast Toyota March '22 sale in price but Bell packs really well with thick air cushion and proper shipping supplies from Uline and that's probably worth the ~10% price difference in Bell vs. the lowest priced Southeast Toyota Dealer last sale.
Hope I get a Japanese made part than a NA (US/Canada/Mexico) local supersession, happens a lot with nuts and bolts at stealerships that don't seem to be mission critical.
How Bell ships stuff, tightly wrapped in air cushion)
AC Filter + a case of ATFWS in Lexus SWAG (00289-ATFWS-LX, priced probably a buck above the lowest priced Toyota dealer)
Steering Rack was repacked, Inner Tie Rods on new rack was well wrapped too.

Did you talk with Cody on the phone? I'm in a little bit of a time crunch and need a new booster assembly...just want to make sure it'll be here if I order it. It might be worth the 17% difference if I can have it next day from the local dealership, as much as I hate saying that.
Lol nope. I am deaf. No phones for me! But his name is on the email correspondence and my invoice. Everyone there is responsive though. Doubtful they'll remember me as I have only been in the dealership once. but you can tell them the deaf guy sent you.
No idea how these prices on major wear items (CVs, Racks, Suspension) will hold up in the long term with the inflation and raw material costs or will quality go down.
I doubled down on R&R while the Japanese import parts are having favorable exchange rates so I could get trouble-free miles for the next 15-20 years.
If you look at the factory fitted bolts, small metal brackets and mounts on your Cruiser, you’d probably notice some factory fit OEM bolts that have a gold tinge in them.
The OEM ones you get from parts stores are probably silvery looking and are usually shorter than than the factory ones.
They’re shorter than they used to be. Some bleeder valves (like the AHC bleeders) had a thick coat of paint and were 1/3 longer than the new OEM ones. Radiators had brass/copper cores and now they’re mostly aluminum, plastic intake manifolds on newer makes and list goes on.
I try to clean up reuse bolts that are in good condition (no signs of corrosion or a maximum of light surface rust) except for stuffs like brake caliper bolts and pins.
Metallurgy at Toyota has changed in the last 20 years probably with more cost vs. quality trade offs, but probably rubbers and polymers are stronger these days.
Don’t think there’s a better time to refresh the cruiser!
Called on a brake booster but he said the center is only showing one and it's a 50/50 shot if its in stock and then it goes on backorder and no cancelations. Tough gamble on a 1300 part with no eta. Anyone have any history with backorders? He did say the Florida center showed 6 but he couldn't get it from there.
Gents,
I'm a new(ish) owner of a 2004 LX470. Love the vehicle but I'm preparing to put a lot of sweat equity and port cost into her. It's got 114k miles however it's a East-coast/Mid-west vehicle and so it's got rust forming across most exposed surfaces and bolts. The past buyer didn't change the timing belt.
I'm hoping some of you can suggest additional fixes I should do when I get into the list below:
3) Brakes - I've replaced the rear pads and rear rotors, but the front are giving me pause. I've looked at a number of caliper options and searched here but the Napa Eclipse seems to be non-existent anymore. My rear calipers and stuck pins when I serviced them....should I also get new rear calipers?
3.1) Front Pads - purchased
3.2) Front Rotors - purchased
3.3) Brake lines?
3.4)Front and Rear calipers?
3.5) should I do the axle bearings since I'm in there?
Appreciate any input and thanks for the member who can accumulated such a wealth of knowledge. The 100 Series page is a priceless resource.
Calipers: I recently looked at rock auto and liked the the Power Stop powder coated front reman calipers.
The list below is almost complete for my 260k timing belt job and coolant system refresh. I used a Mishimoto aluminum radiator to replace mine. Not leaking but plastic was browning.
I replaced PCV and plugs too since I had to pull the valve covers and cams to replace cam seals.
Edit: cleaned up my copy/paste from my mobile post and inserted into a table from my Excel tracker.

Uh oh. I just ordered one today, from Wesley chapel lexus in florida. Hopefully it goes through. Have you thought about ordering one from a florida dealer?
Edit: Just got off the phone with them. The booster was showing in stock and will be shipped tomorrow. May want to give them or another florida dealer a shout.
AC Blower Motor arrived 3 days after payment. Wasn’t disappointed with good packaging from Bell. Toyota box was oriented the right way so the fan blade doesn’t get ruined with the weight of the blower motor.
