Parked at work, decided to drive it today even tho it’s not 100%. No front sway bar on lol, that’s all the flex she’s gonna get.

Rear main seal is still leaking but not as bad, I loose about a 50 cent piece when I park it. New seal is on order and it’s gonna happen next week

So that very small dent on my EGR is a big issue. It’s from the cumalong when I put the motor in and it’s restricting the valve inside. I start the truck, runs great. I drive it 5 miles down the road and stop, shudders and about stalls out, I get out and smack the EGR with my wrench and pow it idles fine. Whatever in there is sticking on that dent and causing me issues witch.... sucks. 200$.... gone.

yeah, realized it just after posting. sorry! $200 is the lowest price that I saw in a quick review of the places I buy from :(

Just looked at my parts 80 and 62 ome on the 80 is gone but the one on the 62 is there looked at toyotapartsdeal same part # as a 97 fzj80.

Do you need the EGR in NC for emissions? If not, just delete it. Mine got the axe in the first two months I had the rig.

Last week I replaced the rear main seal and lower oil pan seal and currently I have zero leaks. It’s running great, drove out at Oregon Inlet last night and enjoyed the sunset. Thanks to everyone on this forum for helping me out! Hope to see y’all out and about or on the trail. If any of you make it down to the OBX, let me know! Always cool seeing others builds and it rebuilds. I will keep the forum updated with small stuff I continue doing to the truck. (Seat tracks, box build, trips, etc)

Cheers y’all

With that uneven wear, make sure the brake pads move easily in their guides. Mine had some rust that expanded into the guides (the slots that the brake pad tabs fit into) and I had to chip it out with a modified cold chisel. Also make sure the carriages move freely on their guide rods.

I actually ordered new calipers and rotors and shims and the whole deal. I ordered my calipers threw a Lexus dealership and they came attached to the mounts and everything. They slide very nice! 👍🏻

So I had a day off and I was seeing a bit of rust coming from the rear wing thing and I know I don’t want the roof rack so I decided to take them both off and inspect.

these are from the roof racks, got all but 1 screw out easy, you can see in the top pic. I ripped it out.

these were the mounts on the hatch, for what I call the wing thing. Not rusted threw but pretty good.

I sanded them down, painted with white rust oleum and then took white flex seal tape and white flex seal caulk and made new gaskets and sealed under the mount and caulked around them also. Could be prettier but you’ll never know unless you look for it. I’m happy with it. It’ll keep the water out and slow the rust down a lot, least a couple years.

I took the flex seal tape and just went right over top of the roof rack mount holes, I filled the holes with flex seal caulk and called it. Gonna get a full roof rack this winter.

Looks o so familiar mine has a rust hole..:censor:

So since replacing the motor and such iv had a P0141 CEL (oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2) and I have replaced the front one with an OEM sensor and left the rear because it looked fairly new.

And looking at them, the wiring looks fine but not so much on the harness.

I decided to rip it apart and find out what the hell is going on. I don’t have my volt meter at my house to check the sensors but this harness looked iffy.
