I found this 60 over a year ago, where it sat for the last 16 years. It took a while to cut the trees and brush around it before it could be pulled out. Since then, I've gone back and forth so many times as to whether it is even worth saving or if I should part it out. I've decided to at least give it a shot. I don't know much about the truck but after a good soak of marvel mystery oil, the engine turns over fairly easily.

Not that bad for a truck that has been in a field for the last 16 years, right?
Well... it was literally a rat's nest.

I've been slowly cleaning and removing parts in the engine bay and gave the body a good pressure wash. Virtually every hose and belt is either dry rotted or chewed into bits but the wiring is surprisingly in decent shape.

My plan is to replace only what I have to right now (belts, hoses, spark plug wires, fluids, etc.) to see if the engine will run. Since I don't have emissions in Arkansas, I'm going to go ahead and desmog since all of the vacuum hoses are trashed already.

If it weren't for the people of MUD and the knowledge base that has been created, I don't think I could attempt this build. I will definitely be needing some help along the way. Advice and thoughts are welcome!
