I replaced my lower ball joints about three months ago. My left ball joint went out last month sometime, so I replaced it again. It is wearing out again.

I replaced my ball joints with raybestos the first time, then used moog the second time. I had it installed by my ex-mechanic at my job.

He has installed my hub assembly on my Lexus ls430. on my lc, he has changed my timing belt etc, changed my cv axles, installed stop-tech brake lies and rotors, so he knows what he is doing. Problem is, he no longer works for my company, so I need some insight why just the left lower ball joint keeps wearing out so quickly. It is 90% pavement and 10% used light off roading.

My lc has the ome 865 with two 10mm spacers, and a one inch rake. It has silent armor 275/70r18 tires on it. The lc has 180,000 miles. It was a one owner mall cruiser, rust free, babied land cruiser, with all the maintenance records from the stealership.

I need some insight why they keep wearing out so fast. I would like to address the problem quickly. Thanks

The hole for the Ball Joint may be worn on the A-Arm giving you knocks and squeeks as it moves around in there. Did you inspect the ones that came off?

It starts with a faint knock when turning left. Then it just precedes to get worse and louder over time, and knocks over bumps and just driving down the road. Right one is fine.

It drives fine actually, I just don't like the noise and the fact it gets louder. I do have the lower ball joints just replaced. I ll take some pics. Still at the rock pile!!

Can you clarify your meaning to "left ball joint went out." Did it start seeping grease or did it fail? I haven't read about a 100 ball joint failure.

From what I read, I didn't think the ball joints were meant to be pressed out of the these arms on this particular A-arm as you need to replace the entire assembly. I've read where other have found ball joints that they think would worked, so this may be a case of the incorrect ball joint being installed.
