Anyone try and use LED bulbs for the brake lights in the tailgate? If so, which did you use? Did you just replace using the same assembly?

2003 LX470 here. Thanks.

I replaced my reverse light bulbs with LED ones, I used W21W bulb type, I also checked the rear fog lights, bulbs are also the same, so I'm pretty sure they are the same for all rear lights.

We purchased LED rear tail light assemblies for our 2004 Land Cruiser.
Very nice quality ... BUT ... it causes the transmission "P" lamp to blink when you use the Turn Signals.

Installed a pair of Auxito W16W LED reversing (aka backup) lights with CANBUS error correction. Australian listing on ebay

For the rear turn signal lights, LED lights need a load resistor to prevent "hyperflashing".

The Auxito 7440 amber:

And the 50W load resistor:

Here's how they look:

Thanks. I have LED in the tailgate lights that shine on the license plate but the first set of LEDs that Autozone sold me don't seem to work. I will give these a try. You used the same assembly as the OEM original bulbs? No extra adapter?

LASFIT OEM style replacement LEDs for the headlights and taillights. They're the shizz.

They fit right in, no adapter needed. Just to note - if the LED bulb doesn't work, you have to unplug, turn it 180 degrees and plug back in.

Thanks. Where do you install these load resistors???

Load resistor is below the dash on the driver's side (LHD vehicles).

I'm big on LED's, always replace them on my old motorcycles. But I can't bring myself to do that with the LC. 1999 model, 350,000 miles, and like so much on this beast, all rear bulbs are original. Have never touched them. Makes me smile.

You installed these on the tailgate break lights? Can you send me a link?
LASFIT for LX470 Direct fit installation; no kludging required. You need to ensure whatever you buy and install is compatible with CANBus. These are.
