I know the best way to solve this would be a coil spring conversion, but I just want to fix whats there.

After putting new tires on my wife's 2005 non kdss gx470 I noticed it was leaning to the left. The passenger side is 1.2" higher than the right. I tried moving the height sensors and that didnt do anything. Tried resetting ecu by jumping #13 and 4 on dlc and pressing brake 8 times, no luck. Hooked up techstream and ran a signal test and got this

There is also a code c1795 LH front speed signal

The only thing the codes have in common is a bad suspension ecu. I don't want to throw parts at it so I would like to be sure that is what it is before I buy parts.

It still raises and lowers fine between high and low, just lower on one side.

Anybody have any ideas?

Toyota trucks are infamous for leaning to the drivers side because of the gas tank, battery, and driver all being on that side. It gets worse as the factory suspension components age or if you install aftermarket suspensions without compensating for the “lean.”

I would think that way if it were regular springs, but the air suspension is supposed to compensate on its own. An inch and a quarter is too much lean .

It'll level the rear, but the front is much heavier and there rear air bags can only do so much, especially if the front coilovers are 13+ years old.

It is just the rear. Forgot to say I changed front coilovers 3 weeks ago because one snapped.

Oh! That changes everything. I'm not sure what that might be. Possibly a bad sensor or a bad air bag? Clogged air line on the driver's side? My passenger side sensor went bad a few months ago and caused the whole back end sit on the bump stops. Replacing it fixed everything.

I really appreciate your help. Figured it out. The front left shock snapped at the bottom mounting eye.

It's only got about 2000 miles on it. About 20 per day are on washboard dirt roads, but they should hold up better than that. Got them from Lexus dealership.

Wow. Had to be a defect. They should definitely hold up better than that!

Snapped lower Strut are usually because they bottom out. Is your bump stop still intact?

Kdss?

Do you periodically hear a hissing from the rear of the GX? Or does your air suspension compressor kick on periodically? Bouncing rear suspension at all? I have all the symptoms above. My air suspension has a leak on the rear passenger side so my gx leans to the passenger side..... Hoping to replace before Christmas, that suspension bounce will be nauseating with a kid back there on our road trip.
