hi i am having quite abit of trouble finding leafsprings for my bj70

basicaly not alot of people know what it is and is not in there catalogues.

so I wanted to know will hzj75 leafs fit? eaither front or rear or both?

Or is there a length difference?

on this website i have come across leafs for hzj75 in 75mm which is the height i realy want without extended shakles but i dont know if these leafs will fit my BJ70

http://www.directsuspensions.com.au...&vehicleid=135&make=TOYOTA&v_type=LANDCRUISER

also i know 60 series springs will fit the rear but they only come in 50mm but even though i use 60 series on the rear what do i use up front?

Thanks!!!

The 7# series front leaves are all the same

ok thanks

The front are the same but what about the 75 series rear?

i know there different as i have cross referenced a toughdog catalougue bj70 vs 75 series but how different are they?

im assuming there longer but does anyone know by how much? will it be possible to use in a bj70 without relocating spring hangers?

Thanks!

Why not just get the OME CS017R's (or CS004R's for heavy load)? They are around a 70mm (2.75") height.

I ran those with the CS006F fronts on my BJ70 with standard shackles and they were great:meh:

I have been looking and we dont get that part number in australia

only 2 inch

i wanted to avoid extended shakles but i might just have to get 2 inch efs leafs with extended shackles which give close to another 2 inch lift

does anyone see a problem with ext shakles? besides the fact that its illegal
does it wear out springs faster? i know it shuld give better articulation but also reduces approach angles

Thanks!

rear 75 springs will not fit a 70 unless mods are made to the hanger
longer shackles, been doing it for decades. on the rear go for it. on the front you will need caster shims and longer centering bolts for the springs to clear the shims

but, if you are asking "can i run longer shackles to reach the 75 springs on a 70" then NO, play the game properly

ok sounds good

i have decided to go 75 springs on the rear and move the hangers aswell to compensate the longer leaves which means longer leafs should give better flex hopefully

does anyone know if the diff location will be altered with the 75 series rear springs? i assumed the center pin would be in the same position.

any-rough ideas how far back i should take the hangers for best shackle angle?

Thanks!

NEVER assume anything. it seldom works out.
i have a 70 and a 75 sitting here, i can do the measurement for you, if you want.
the length of the spring over all difference will be the same measurment for the new location.
the biggest advantage to the longer spring is ride, not lift.

I would appreciate that so much if you could measure it up for me

dont know anyone here with a landcruiser for me to go out and measure things

Thanks again!!! :)
